Dr Regula Rhiner has first-class training and wide-ranging experience of the legal profession, in court and in academia. Her professional experience includes employment with a well-known business-oriented law firm in Zurich and she has completed post-graduate studies at Harvard University in the USA.

Dr Rhiner studied law at the University of Zurich. She then wrote a dissertation on divorce law ("The Prerequisite Conditions for Divorce under Revised Swiss Law (Art. 111-116, Swiss Civil Code)", Vol. 165 of Zurich Studies on Private Law) and obtained a doctorate in law from the University of Zurich. She then completed post-graduate studies at Harvard University in Cambridge, USA, to obtain a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.). She was admitted to the bar of Zurich in 1999.
 

Before practising on a self-employed basis, Dr Rhiner worked as an auditor and legal clerk at the District Court of Zurich, as an assistant and senior assistant at the University of Zurich, and as an attorney-at-law in a business-oriented medium-sized law firm in Zurich. She is registered in the official register of lawyers in the canton of Zurich and is a member of the Swiss and Zurich Bar Associations.
 

Dr Rhiner speaks German, English and French.
